My Final H. PUB

I'm so sad I finished. Good, good, good series, though. I loved reading those books!

When Harry "died" & they said he didn't see any scarring on his body, I totally knew that he wasn't connected to Voldemort anymore. I rock.

Of course it had to end with the happily ever after of Ron & Hermione & Ginny & Harry. That's okay, though. It was cute. I wanted to know, though, who the new head master of Hogwarts was.

That's nice & all that Harry was thinking Snape to be the good guy. He was pretty good, but he was still so mean to Harry the whole time he was at school! I so would not give my child his name. Especially combined with Dumbledore's name. That's just weird.

I'm the most sad about Sirius, still. Then Fred, then Hedwig, then Lupin & Tonks. I can't believe she killed all of those people! Sad.

When Harry was walking to his death in the forest, I cried. She wrote all of that so well, I thought. I didn't know if she would seriously kill off Harry, but I just loved how she worded everything. I got way emotional when Harry was thinking about everyone he was leaving behind without saying good-bye. Gosh. Here I go again. Getting emotional on this end of the computer. How silly. It's just a book... & he ended up living. I get INTO books, man! Oh & when he thought of the snitch & remembered, "I open at the close," & he said to the snitch that he was about to die. Goodness me, I cried like a baby.

So now it's time for more books! I think I'll walk over to the library tomorrow.

Page 608

That's the H. PUB

Snape just escaped Hogwarts and now everyone is getting together to fight. So intense. I'm reading fast because I feel like they all need to hurry & stop standing around talking. AHHHH.

I'm going to go back to reading after this blog. Just figured I'd update before I finish the book. I only have 6 more chapters. I'm so sad for it to be over. I want more! But I'm anxious to see what happens. YEEEEESH!

I hope the movie is going to be this intense. They said it will be done being filmed this spring. Guess what else Harry Potter related will be done & ready this spring. HARRY POTTER LAND!!!! I need to go there this summer. Crossing my fingers I can. That would fulfill my current life long dream. Hmm. That means if I go I can start on a new life long dream. Wow. This just gets more & more exciting.

I hope they kill Voldy. Snape, too. I bet McGonagall will die. Don't think any Weasleys will die. Hmmm. I bet Lucious dies. Maybe Bellatrix and Narcissa. Draco won't die. As much as I hate to say it, I think Hagrid will die. I hope not! I could see that one going both ways... Who else? I don't know. But that's my prediction.

UPDATE:
page 622

I forgot to mention how sad I was when Dobby died. I was about to cry. I liked how Harry handled it. Love Luna, too.

& when Ron & Hermione disapeared at Hogwarts I thought Voldemort took them. Phew. They should have told Harry where they were, those crazy kids!

I totally called it, where Ravenclaw's diadem was hidden. Room of Requirement. I was like, "Hmm. I wonder why Harry isn't checking the room he hid his potions book in..." GO ALYSSA!

Potter, Potter, Potter, Weasley, Weasley

Oh no. I'm running out of funny Harry Potter titles. What will I do for my next blog?!

Page 200! I'm so silly. I thought I was all smart for thinking someone in the order was in on Harry's departure of the Dursley's house. Nope. They said it straight out in the book! Nice going, smarty pants Alyssa.

So Kreacher just told Harry, Ron, & Hermione about the horcrux and Regulus's whole little thing of attempting to destroying it. Good stuff. I'm so excited to find out everything about this book! It's a good one. I can't believe they killed Mad-Eye right off. I thought he was alive, at first, when Harry walked into Sirius's house. It made me happy. I don't know if I should think he is alive or dead or the Death Eater's took him or what! INTENSE STUFF, I TELL YOU!!

JKR is way pushing this Harry/Ginny stuff. I'm foreseeing something about this at the end... huh. We'll see.

& that's the end of tonight's HPUB (Harry Potter Update Blog) More to come when I reach marker number 3.

Snape, Snape, Severus Snape, DUMBLEDORE!

I'm on Harry Potter Number 7!!! Deathly Hallows. I haven't heard or read or seen anything about this one. Complete surprises on this one. Right now I'm only on page 50. Maybe I'll report back every 50 pages? Or 100. I tend to read these very quickly. But they're just so darn good [looking]. (Sorry, couldn't help myself there. I'm in the Willy Wonka spirit for Halloween.)

I'm thinking, right now, that someone in the Order is in cahoots with Snape. In the first chapter, Snape knew about their diversion of the real date they were taking Harry away from the Dursley's house. I don't know, though. No hints, please!

Anyways. That's about where I am. They're taking Harry from the house now. We'll go from there!

On another Harry Potter related note... I got a Potter Puppet Pals shirt!!! :D It's Ron & it says "Bother!" Hahaha. I'm so excited to get it!

That's all for this week. Join me again when we rejoin myself to catch up on The Deathly Hallows and my opinions. Have a great night, everybody!

"Rarry Satisfying"

Yesterday I stepped on a huge leaf and it crunched. I thought to myself, in the words of Callie, "Rarry satisfying!"

I'm loving this weather we're having, too. I could get along without the wind, but I'll take it.

Breaking out the long sleeved and jackets is my favorite! I think you can make cuter outfits with winter clothes. Layering is my friend. Scarves, hats, and I are pretty tight, too.

Well, I wrote that part a few days ago. It's been getting colder. I'm still loving it, however. I'm so excited for new winter clothes. Hopefully that's what I'll be putting my newly earned money towards.

Also... exciting news. I called the patriarch. About 10 minutes ago, actually. My Patriartical Blessing will be November 15. How excited am I? Very!

I think it's going to be so great to have this new tool for my life. Personal scripture. God telling me about my future. Who wouldn't be excitied about that? How amazing.

CTC

Everybody do the Thermos count with me!

The first day of school I brought a Thermos with me. I had noodles in it. They were still warm and super yummy. Since then, I've brought more things like spaghetti-o's, different types of noodles, and even cereal.

People say, "ohh you're so cute, Alyssa, with your little Thermos. Awhh!" Well, since then my best friend Maddie has bought one, as well as my other best friend Kristin. Maddie just told me today that Julia is going to get one. Funny stuff. It was a good idea I had! People are catching on [; haha. Kidding... but all credit should go to me! :D

Current Thermos Count (CTC):
3

Let's see this grow! Maybe I'll have started a trend. How awesome would that be?!

The Dentist

"I've been to the dentist a thousand times so I know the drill. I smooth my hair sit back in the chair, but somehow I still get the chills."

I was at the dentist getting my teeth cleaned. I was sitting in the chair, waiting for the hygienist to come clean my teeth. There was a van Gogh picture to stare at. I don't remember which one it was. That's pretty bad, to not know a classic picture I was starring at. To be honest, I don't even remember what it looked like.

I started wiggling my toes because I had flip flops on. My big toe was doing a solo. It looked like a dance, seriously! Kind of worming around. It was awesome.

My dentist has a thing for van Gogh, I guess. The next time I was there I was put in a different room and guess who was waiting there in front of my chair? Mr. van Gogh's sunflowers.

The teeth cleaning was okay. I really didn't like it. My teeth hurt afterwards and they told me about the braces plan. 2 years! I'm gonna look so adorable in my prom picture.... UGH! Anyways, mom reassured me I wouldn't have them for that long (at least the kind you can see.)

I got a cavity filled by a laser! Technology these days!! It didn't even take 10 minutes. Pain free, no needle. So cool.

Angels Whisper to a Man When He Goes for a Walk

I believe this. When I'm walking or hiking, I think of things that I should write down. I don't know how I think of some of those things. A lot of the time they're spiritual epiphanies and such.

Tomorrow I will be going on the fourth year walk... oh, I mean "hike". It's only 5 miles! What? Easy. Last year was 23 miles. Plus it was freezing. We get to be in the heat, no rain, and we get to go swimming in warm springs and rivers. Then we're going canoeing 11 miles down to a beach. How fun does that sound?! I'm very excited.

I'm glad that I prayed so hard about whether I should have gone on last year's hike or not. I listened to the answer I got. Now I'm blessed with this hike that will be so great for me. It's easy on my disease but I'm sure I'll still be pushed through hard things just as the girls last year did.

I can already see the struggles I might have and I am anxious to see how I do.

I will take tons of pictures and post them when I am back from Salt Lake!

Oh yaa. After we get home from the hike on Saturday, Brooke and I are going to shower at my house. Then we're going to hit the road and drive to Salt Lake. Brooke's family is moving there while she is at the fourth year hike so we get to take a vacation, too! I'm going to be working on one of my personal progress projects with Nana. Blog about that later. Back to packing for me!

The Phaaaantom of the Op-er-a....

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Yep, you guessed it. I went to Phantom of the Opera on the strip Thursday night for Kelly's graduation! It was so amazing. The seats were great. The singers were PHANT-astic. The costumes were PHAN-omenal. Overall, it was PHA-bulous. Okay... that one was stretching it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
(same applies)

This was the chandelier I got in trouble for taking a picture of. Heh heh. So did Kelly.

There were so many cool costumes! I want to wear one. They look like they make you feel magical and opera-y.

The guys in the play were very "non-unfortunate looking." In the words of me and friends.

The illusions were so awesome, too. Raoul had this part where he was going to jump in the water. He jumped off the bridge & he disappeared into the stage! So cool! There was also a part where The Phantom sang to Christine to look into the mirror because he is there. She looks & BANG! POW! there's The Phantom! His reflection over Christine's. Then.. BANG! POW! she goes into the mirror when he tells her to come to The Angel of Music. Flipping amazingness!

Okay & then another cool thing. The Phantom comes down from the chandelier. He's just hanging there! So cool. Except, I could see the wire. I just pretended like I couldn't, though, so it looked way more cool to think he was that strong.

I'm sure, like everyone else, you've heard that the chandelier falls.. I guess it's in the advertisement? Anyways, it did. It was so cool. "Release the chandelier," The Phantom yells! Then BANG! POW! you see the chandelier shake & start to fall & then it comes crashing down and the lights go out!

We listened to the soundtrack on the way there to get in the spirit of Phantom. Not like we weren't already. We were so excited!

Clarissa, Kelly, her sister-in-law, & I also had a little incident with the windshield wipers on the way to the Venetian. Apparently, Kelly's sister-in-law, whose name I do not remember or I would type that instead of "sister-in-law" which is really long to type, bumped the windshield wiper automatic thing. We could not get it turned off! It took 8 minutes & a phone call to Bishop Morris (his car) to get it turned off. We were all cracking up. They even shot out water when we tried to turn them off! It was so funny. Kelly's sister-in-law started crying she was laughing so hard. It was great.

Name Change

The blog name changed again. I'm thinking this one will be a little more permanent. Unless something were to happen where I changed my name. I'm thinking Bonqueesha would be a nice alternative if I had to change my name. I like the spelling, too.

I have new MUST LISTEN to songs. Kiss the Rain by Yiruma & Trees by Keiko Matsui. They're beautiful. Also, Love Story Meets Viva La Vida by Jon Schmidt.

I have a MUST SEE video, too. My goodness. Joe Jonas is awesome. (Don't worry Archie, I still love you the most.) I have to keep reassuring David.. he just gets so nervous sometimes about me liking other guys. He doesn't understand. Silly boy.

Now did that make your day or what? Yes. Mine, too. [:

Then I went & pulled up the Beyonce version because I had only seen it once before and was quite disgusted with it. But next to Joe's, it was funny to watch both. He really did most of the moves... or at least attempted them.

Also, I'm looking for a nickname for this kid I met at a church dance so I can write stories about him in here. Any suggestions?

If Orlando Bloom & Heath Ledger Had a Baby..

I'm so excited one of my favorite bands is back after 2 years! One guy was on a mission. They're amazing. The Scene Aesthetic. Heard of 'em? If not.. I'm disappointed. Can't say I'm shocked, though. They aren't very famous :p

Update on my week. It's been so relaxing. I do NOT want to get back into the routine week of school & such. I went to school one full day this week. Tuesday I had a tummy ache & stayed home. Thursday I went home early because I was in so much pain. Friday I spent all day in jammies down stairs. I got a new movie called Only You. It's one of my new favorites.

I also went to the movie theaters with Kelly & Aubrey & Amber last night. We saw Ink Heart. It was really good! 5 out of 5 stars from me. 50 out of 5 stars from Aubrey & Kelly because of the cute guy in it. Kelly told me they decided if Orlando Bloom & Heath Ledger had a baby, this guy is what he would have looked like.

Just now I ate half a tub of Sour Patch Kids. I left all the orange in the tub, where it belongs. Those ones are gross. Consequences of eating that many Sour Patches if you don't pace yourself: Your mouth gets so freakin' raw!! I'm sitting here looking at the tub, cursing it to the fiery pits of Hades. Darn those super yummy candies!

"Can I Getchyo Numba?"

Exam week went fine. I was really stressed. The half days were nice. I got alot of studying done!

Thursday after school I walked to the new library. Turns out I had a fine on my card so I couldn't check out any books. I called Aubrey & walked over to her house. Then we walked back to the library with Johnny. After that, we walked to target. Then her mom picked us up when we were half way home.

At the library I got Sense & Sensibility & Flowers for Algernon. I'm half way through Sense & Sensibility. I love it so I borrowed Pride & Prejudice from my sister. I'm also reading Twilight again. I just love that series.

To continue on with my week, Friday after school I went to Ally's house with Maddie. We hung out from 10:40 to 8:00 & then went to the Fiesta to go ice skating until 11:00. Ally's sister, Debbie, & I got some phone numbers from cute guys. Hah hah. My stupid wallet was stolen too! Ugh.

I woke up on Saturday really late (& really sore!) Kelly & Aubrey & I went to the movies to see mall cop & met Amber and Brooke there. It was really funny! "Those are some deep words Paul Blart." "Peanut Blart & Jelly. Wha wha wha what's up?" The indian guy was the funniest! Then I had to go to work at 5:30. I was there until 9:30. After work, I ran home to change & Kelly picked up Aubrey & I to go to the church stake dance. It was lame. Good social time, though. We blasted Muse on the way home!

Now this week at school is only 3 days long. I didn't go today because I felt super sick. Two day school week for me!

"girl, the back of yo head is RIDICCILIS!"

This Is American Idol!

So I'm watching American Idol at the present moment. I really don't like the audition phases. Bad singers.. joksters going on the show.. all looking for fame. Stupid. & I think it's so mean to make fun of the people who are for real and laugh at them.

Someone in my church knows a guy on American Idol. Because he's not allowed to say it straight out, we're just guessing that he made it to Hollywood beacause of some things said. So cool!

When watching the auditions last year, I totally fell in love with David Archuleta. Same with Brooke White. I said to my friend, "That David guy is cute. I want him to win!" Heh heh. I'm gooood [:

Arianna Afsar is 16. Randy kept saying last year, "It's all about the young ones." I agree. I'll blog every week about the ones I think will make it.. to prove, too, that I said it! Hah hah.

Emily Wynne-Hughes sang a song by Heart. It was really good. I want her to go pretty far, too. Although, she reminds me alot of Carly from this past year with the tattoos and what not.

The new judge Kara.. ehh. She is not likeable.
No drunken Paula so far this season!

Ok so the list for this episode:
Arianna Afsar
Emily Wynne-Hughes
Stevie Wright
Deanna Brown- She is soo funny!
Cody Sheldon- He wears Man-scara though, gross
Scott MacIntyre- He is AMAZING. Entered college at 14 & graduated at 19. He's almost blind. He ballroom dances. He plays the piano fantastically.

So if I had to pick one, it'd be Scott. All the way!
