Yep, you guessed it. I went to Phantom of the Opera on the strip Thursday night for Kelly's graduation! It was so amazing. The seats were great. The singers were PHANT-astic. The costumes were PHAN-omenal. Overall, it was PHA-bulous. Okay... that one was stretching it.

(same applies)
This was the chandelier I got in trouble for taking a picture of. Heh heh. So did Kelly.
There were so many cool costumes! I want to wear one. They look like they make you feel magical and opera-y.
The guys in the play were very "non-unfortunate looking." In the words of me and friends.
The illusions were so awesome, too. Raoul had this part where he was going to jump in the water. He jumped off the bridge & he disappeared into the stage! So cool! There was also a part where The Phantom sang to Christine to look into the mirror because he is there. She looks & BANG! POW! there's The Phantom! His reflection over Christine's. Then.. BANG! POW! she goes into the mirror when he tells her to come to The Angel of Music. Flipping amazingness!
Okay & then another cool thing. The Phantom comes down from the chandelier. He's just hanging there! So cool. Except, I could see the wire. I just pretended like I couldn't, though, so it looked way more cool to think he was that strong.
I'm sure, like everyone else, you've heard that the chandelier falls.. I guess it's in the advertisement? Anyways, it did. It was so cool. "Release the chandelier," The Phantom yells! Then BANG! POW! you see the chandelier shake & start to fall & then it comes crashing down and the lights go out!
We listened to the soundtrack on the way there to get in the spirit of Phantom. Not like we weren't already. We were so excited!
Clarissa, Kelly, her sister-in-law, & I also had a little incident with the windshield wipers on the way to the Venetian. Apparently, Kelly's sister-in-law, whose name I do not remember or I would type that instead of "sister-in-law" which is really long to type, bumped the windshield wiper automatic thing. We could not get it turned off! It took 8 minutes & a phone call to Bishop Morris (his car) to get it turned off. We were all cracking up. They even shot out water when we tried to turn them off! It was so funny. Kelly's sister-in-law started crying she was laughing so hard. It was great.
